Managing Benefits

Each beneficiary has an individual bank account approved by the Social Security Administration. We are required to report annually an account of beneficiary funds. We will provide expedient service in determining the individual’s needs for day-to-day living (e.g., food, clothing, housing, medical expenses, personal needs, and any emergencies that may arise), and use their benefits to meet those needs by disbursing payments to the individual’s service providers, such as utilities and other monthly expenses. Some of the events in this process is as follows:

1. Once Payee has been assigned and all required documents have been satisfied, The Social Security Administration will direct deposit benefits into a bank account which have been established by the Organization.

2. Solid Foundation Rep. Payee Service, Inc. will establish a budget for the  individual’s Bills and daily living expenses,  based upon income and needs.

individual’s Bills and daily living expenses,  based upon income and needs.

3. Bills (utility bills, insurance bills, etc.) can be set up to go directly from the service providers  to our organization or can be forwarded to us by the individual, and payments can be made directly by our staff to the service provider, eliminating the need for the individual to pay bills on their own;

4. A spending allowance customized based on the individual personal needs and spending habits is remotely loaded onto a prepaid Visa® debit card or other suitable methods at regular intervals or a check will be mailed by US Postal Service.

5. Representative payee managers are available, upon appointment, to meet with the individual upon request at our office or other convenient location as well as by phone and email;

6. Individual’s activity statements are available upon request;

7. Referrals are made to appropriate programs and services as needed;

8. Money can be set aside up to the Social Security Administration’s maximum standard and guidelines

In addition,

  • We will first take care of the individual’s basic daily needs and care.

  • We are required to keep a minimal weekly contact to assess any changes that would need to be reported to the Social Security Administration, that may mean a request for additional funds or to discuss what immediate needs are necessary.

  • We manage paying any housing, medical, or incidental needs, whatever the individual’s benefit allows.

  • We will identify resources the beneficiary may qualify for but may not be utilizing, to enhance their quality of life.
